Coordinates hospital operations during assigned shift. Makes decisions required for effective operations of the hospital. Ensures a high quality of patient care, including compliance with physicians' orders and hospital policies. Interprets operating procedures and policies. Reviews work performance to determine conformance to recognize standards for patient care. Assumes responsibility in the absence of administrative personnel.

Position hours are 36 per week, three 12 hour shifts. Day/Night rotation, some weekend shifts.


Graduate from an approved school of nursing. BS in nursing or related field is preferred. Current licensure as a registered Nurse by the North Carolina Board of Nursing is required. Must demonstrate competency in judgment making and delegation. Must possess critical thinking and problem solving skills. proven ability to maintain good working relationships with staff supervised, medical personnel, and other departments.
